VBForums: Mafia Reloaded [Mafia wins]

We are going to play a little game called Mafia here on VBForums. The following are the rules:

Roles
Civilians – Basic role for the forces of good. During the day they try to lynch goons of the mafia. They don't know the role of any other player.
Mafia Goons - The Mafia know each other. Each night, they choose a victim from the rest of the players. When day breaks, the victim is dead if the doctor was unable to save him. The goal for the Mafia is to survive while killing everyone else in town.
One of the Goons will be named the Boss and that is who tells me who they killed in the night phase. It is up to the rest of the mafia to ensure that the boss doesn't just decide who to kill on his own. If this does occur, the rest of the mafia can tell me and that player will lose Boss status. If the boss dies, another goon will become the new boss.
Doctor - A very powerful ally to the Town. Each night, the Doctor contacts the game moderator, choosing one player to protect during the night from a night kill. The doctor can elect to save himself. He doesn’t know the role of any other player.
Cop - The Cop can investigate one player each night and find out their role. At the beginning, doesn’t know the role of any other player.

Roles are assigned randomly.

Phases
Day Phase – Civilians try to figure out who the mafia is. There is a vote to decide which player to execute. Be warned! Mafia goons will most likely try to act like civilians and have the ability to vote as well. All living players can vote. The first day phase will be roughly 72 hours long. The rest of the day phases will be 48 hours long.
Night Phase – No one should talk in the thread in this phase. Players are free to send Private Messages though. The mafia gets together via private message or chat room and decides on a player to kill. They don’t necessarily need to target a civilian; they can choose to kill one of themselves off. The doctor may choose one person to save from death. If the mafia targets this player, their attack will be unsuccessful. The cop may private message the moderator asking for the role of one player during the night phase. The night phase lasts for 24 hours.

The cop may choose to share his knowledge with the civilians, but this will most likely make him a target for the mafia in the next night phase. Mafia members may try to impersonate the cop to confuse civilians.

When you die, you may no longer talk in the thread. It is also bad sportsmanship-like to share your knowledge about the rest of the players outside of the thread when you are dead.

When you cast your vote in the day phase, color the person’s name in red. You must post a reason for why you are voting for the player, or your vote doesn't count. You may withdraw your vote before the ending of the day phase. If you decide to do this, color your withdraw text in

blue. You may not vote for multiple players at a time. To change your vote, withdraw first, then vote again.

You are allowed to PM other players durring either of the phases, regardless of your role. It can be a very good stragety to use PM to try to form alliences or try to figure out if the person you are PMing is in the mafia.

I am the game moderator. The game starts in the day phase. I will be the one that the mafia killed the night before.

The game ends when the number of mafia players is greater than or equal the number of players on the forces of good. The civilians, doctor, and cop comprise the forces of good.

A darkness has befallen VBForums again. It seems that the mafia has decided to declare VBForums as its new home. I am the spirit of Arrow_Raider. Last night, a shadowy figure arrived in my bedroom and split open my head with an axe, killing me instantly. Daylight is now upon us, and it is time for the civilians to rise up and avenge my death. The day phase has begun. It is scheduled to end at 7:00 PM EDT (GMT -4) on Tuesday the 30th.

When you cast your vote in the day phase, color the person’s name in red. You must post a reason for why you are voting for the player. You may withdraw your vote before the ending of the day phase. If you decide to do this, color your withdraw text in blue. You may not vote for multiple players at a time. To change your vote, withdraw first, then vote again. I vote for Arrow_Raider. He's died too many times to be legit.

OK we have to start the guessing game now. What is there to go on? Here is my method for the first pics I start at the bottom of the players list. With that in mind my first pick should be for Space_Monkey. But I haven't heard from enough people yet.

Negative. I have repented of my evil ways and now seek to destroy all who would interfere with peaceful life on VBF.

I'm voting for timeshifter because he is the one responsible for killing me off last time.

I'm also reluctant to change my votes unless someone has a better reason or they are giving cheezburger.

In that case I vote for kregg he was the first killed in the last game and I think the tradition should continue.

Although it is tempting, I refuse to change my vote to myself because I wasn't given cheezburger.

Also, the cake is a lie.

I'm still trying to figure out how to color text, I've never done that before. However, if there was ever a goon, it was the frog. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I was right last time, though I was only the commentator. However, this is only the first round, so I'm going for the most extravagant flourish yet made in this game and vote for Shaggy Hiker because he's a total liar.

How's that for bizarre.

Remember people, if you don't post a reason along with your vote, your vote doesn't count.

I did post a reason. Surely you aren't going to penalize me just because my reason creates a paradox. It's a famous paradox, after all.
