Nice One :D At least, I hope it is!!!
thanks
101 days of wedding planning hell left and then it's smooth sailing. I recommend to anyone who is going to get married in the future to HIRE A WEDDING COORDINATOR! It's too stressful to do it by yourself.
I suppose I will look back at this and laugh someday though...
(It will be a while though)
Are you getting nervous yet, JPRoy392?
I bought a precious moments figurine for a cake topper on E-Bay from a lady who's fiancee walked out on the wedding at the last minute. Could you image?
How much time are you taking off before and after the wedding?
I am getting a little nervous.
We are getting married on a Friday Night. I guess that I will take a half of a day on Thursday (for the rehearsal dinner) and then all day Friday. The followong week we will be in Bermuda. I just found out yesterday that I will be starting a new job :) and I had to tell my future employer that I already needed a week and a day and a half off. I felt bad, but I have been planning this thing too long.
We didn't hire a wedding planner. :(
Interesting little story:
We asked my Aunt if it would be alright her daughter, my cousin Lauren, would be the flower girl (Two months ago). She said of course and that she would be "honored". We also told her that their would be no children at this wedding. Lisa, my fiancee, and I have hired a babysitter for the ring-bearer and for everyone else who wanted to go to the wedding and had young children. They will be at the hotel ordering room service, playing games, etc. We are covering the tab. We feel that we don't want kids at our reception. Today my aunt told Lisa that "She doesn't understand why we don't want kids at the reception." To which Lisa responds, "Because it is our wedding."
Long story short - 100 days before our wedding, we have to find a new flower girl for the ceremony and not the reception. I hate families. My next life, I am eloping.
Hmmm...
*flashbacks to recent episodes of Frasier*
267 days until my 20 year anniversary!!! Hang in there both of you. It's well worth the pain of planning a wedding if you've found the right person.....I wish you both nothing but happiness!!
Thanks Katie. And may you have another 20+ years of happiness.
Katie, did you go through this much stress when you planned your wedding?
Nothing but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only had 5 months to plan. I was living in Oregon and getting married in California so I had to do most of the planning over the phone...no Internet way back when....no comments please.
I would have never pulled this off without the internet, and I live 8 miles from where I am getting married!
It did make it interesting! But it turned out fine...
I still think I will fall flat on my face while I'm walking down the aisle. If I don't do that, I will start laughing hysterically thinking about how I didn't.
He He
*grins mischeviously*
Don't worry...I won't be anywhere near to trip you up :p
1st bloke: "My wife's an angel"
2nd bloke: "Lucky git - mine's still alive!"
Only 18 years, 6 months, four weeks and a day until our Silver Wedding! OK so we're not that close to it but the first 4 years are the toughest!
Good luck, you two.
BTW Wedding organisers - sheesh, only in the US.
We did it all ourselves and we still got married on time!
Cheers,
P.
We will still get married on time, but try planning a wedding while taking care of a kid under one year old. It's a big added challenge.
Nice.
