I had a grounder take a wicked bounce and catch me in the eye last night.
12 stitches
Still swelling and getting worse

If you think people on the Internet will be squeemish about that you've obviously never beened goatse'd.
Being "sqweemish" and full out disgusted is two completely different things.
Here's a pic of my jersey:

After I got hit and realized it wasn't a bloody nose - I took off my hat and tried to keep from bleeding all over the field while I walked to the "Nurse Station":

I don't have any pics of the night yet - I'm sure someone does. No one brought a camera phone to the hospital, so... If I can find one; I'll add it.
Now... I need a pirate patch.

And I can celebrate pirate month irl.
That was a low-brow joke. :afrog:
hmmm. your really white
I had a friend who's eye dislodged from a softball injury. They were of course able to put it back in - but man the sight was disturbing. When that happened, I pretty much gave up baseball and softball for life. You're lucky the same didn't happen to you.
His really white what? Cap?Quote:

doc: Well, I'm going to take this needle here, and that "thread" over there, and I'm gonna sorta, ya know, stitch you up.
sevenhalo: ...seriously? I mean, it's 2007, doc. You're telling me this is the best we got? Thread? No lasers?
Sorry, I know stitches are effective, they just seem strange to me.
If you were half the programmer I am, you'd be pretty pale also.Quote:

My eye swelled shut within seconds, and when I was able to see anything my vision was doubled. I went to see an eye doctor, or whatever. With a "praise the lord" after every sentence, he informed me that no damage was done to the eye itself. A detached retina was a very likely possibility for me, and for you, and that would have been all bad.
On the other hand, I have a friend who was missing the cheekbone on one side of his face as a result of having it crushed in a baseball accident. He was relatively normal (well, only relatively, but it didn't have anything to do with the injury), except that he had some sinus issues.
Looks like you'll just have colorful pictures.
Aah Idaho. Where the priests are the doctors. :)Quote:
