Never mind I found it
Sounds like a spam program
Not really, it's because a company wants to send newsletters to their customers. But they have to send it in packets, because outlook doesn't let them send it to 500 contacts at the same time.
Why not just send multiple emails out to groups of clients? What was the solution you found?
Well I found out how to send emails, and yeah the solution for the problem I found out was the same as you, send them in groups of 20 people or so.
Ok cool. Was just wondering what other techniques there may have been in case I wasnt aware. ;) Thanks
Hello, That does sound like a fun project but if you want alot of scaleability and powerful tools (sorry if I am not alowed to do this just delete it if I am not) but the best tool I have ever found for Mass Mailing is a prog called Group Mail.
I am not trying to sell it to you they have a free version depending on what you want I havn't used it for a year or two so might have changed but when I used to use it, it can do everything you needed. It's worth taking a look as it would take a long time to create somthing like that but if you just want a mail server to send out everything then it would be cheaper to make one.
Plz check this link for sending Mass E-Mail... They provide three versions.. Trial, Basic and Full...
* In trial you can send upto 100 mails
* In Basic you can send upto 1000 mails
* In full you can send unlimited mails..

Hope it will help for you...
Yes, but he wants code, not some ready made program (guessing by the fact it's in the VB.Net forum).Quote:

Yes I know exactly what you mean I am in the same place learning by things I do I just believe that sometimes buying a program is alot better as the features it offers and maybe if I have time jus tplay around with those kind of features in vb even though I got the software.
