Not me, I reached 54 on my warlock last night and have a second account set up to AoE grind a priest. So close to outlands. I plan on going back at 56.
You should join my server.
What server are you on?Quote:

Level 70. Trying to get attuned to Karazhan, but it's a zaza to do so.
Luckily, Durnholde is up next, that's a fun instance.
I said zaza because I cannot say female dog.
Yeah - no way you can quit yet. Not with Death Knights and level 80 cap right around the corner. Plus, siege weapons and destructible buildings.
Haven't made it to Kara or outlands yet (I did some soloing at 54 just to pass the time while I LFG'd ST - but no quests). I went home for lunch to do a btmScan on the AH, got an invite to a BRD group and couldn't go. THat was a let down.Quote:

Of course there is always something on the horizon. But I really just want to stop wasting so much time on this game. I'm going into gaming detox for a month or so. Then I might get into Starcraft 2 or Halo 3, but never another MMO again.
Ive got a friend whos into WoW, and it is honestly really sad. He plans his life after the game, he doesnt sleep much, he doesnt speak of anything else but WoW...he is really skilled with the guitar so its so sad to see him waste so much of his life with this ****game. aargh.
Meh - some people can play them, some can't. I've had my (now) 54 lock for about a year. I get on now and again, do a BG or something and then log for a week or more. Some weekends, I'll be bored and knock out a few quests. Just have to show restraint.Quote:

You don't say you're going to quit and make a big spectacle out of it... Just every now and then, when you reach for a smoke, stop and say "maybe not this time." Later on in the night, you'll probably have one - but after a few weeks or so, you start to build more restraint and eventually forget to smoke.
Same thing works for MMOs. If you stay out of the guilds (or get into a super laid back one), you remove yourself from the "obligated playing" and you're fine.
@sevenhalo: I would be the same as yourself it never took over my life but at 36 quid every 3 months i decided to kill it.
You don't need to give a kidney for that. The servers go boom all the time. Unfortunately, other players are giving their kidneys to have the servers fixed.Quote:

I played WoW once. Got level 20 and realized it was boring.
That makes three of us. The other is wossy, when he's not playing on his Ford Racing game.Quote:

seriously, you know you can count in DAYS of not MONTHS of total time you have spent playing that game... All for what? When you are 50 are you going to look back and say "Man I am glad I played all that World of Warcraft instead of doing productive things"Quote:

Sounds like the entire tech department my wife works in, in two cities. About thirty adults spending all night "questing". Not for me.Quote:

Ive been a counter strike junkie since before valve owned it and it was in beta. I like the fact that you can jump in a server at any time and play a few quick rounds and leave. I don't feel like I need to spend hours on end playing to accomplish something. (also I paid for it once, and only once... no subscription fee)
I did try WOW, I bought it for 50 bucks when it came out and got the month sub that came with it. I cancelled before the month was up because it just wasn't for me.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but
I can't wait for Rock Band. I am going to learn every part to Reptilia.Quote:

EDIT: 600th post!
Rock Band should be pretty cool but arent there other instruments and such?
The pretty sweet thing is in addition to Rock Band (which is being made by the guys who made GH) there will also be a GH3 made by neversoft (the tony hawk game devs) since the GH name and rights was sold off by harmonix.
You play counter-strike source? Id be honored to kill you in there sometime;)Quote:

Rock Band has two guitars, one mic, and one drumkit. I think the entire setup will cost around $300, but I believe existing guitars will work. I've seen a few screenshots. There are three fret boards on the screen (well, one is for the drums, so it isn't a fret board) and the vocals go from left to right across the top. I think the vocals are the same as that other (Singstar?) singing game that is on PS2. I've seen the singing game once, in a bar, but I've never played it. I think it just measures your timing and pitch.
I just read that Rock Band is only for PS3 and 360 which means I am going to need to buy one of the 2 (which would be 360 by preference)
The PS2 version is going to be UK release only (not sure why)
I just read over the wiki article and it says some pretty cool things. The guitar has 10 buttons (5 like traditional GH, and 5 further up the neck for solos). This guitar is also used as the bass. Then there is optional drum kit and mic you can get.
I am a huge Who fan, so it is cool to see not only are they including a Who song, but they will also release Who's Next the full album for download (im sure for a fee) that is playable. Pretty cool stuff.
@atheist... you play in any specific servers? I'll knife you ;)
My OT contribution - after work today, I've decided to get a new TV and pick up Guitar Hero 80s, Bioshock, 2 HD movies from blockbuster and a case of beer. I almost took a half day when I got back from lunch to get out and get shopping.
Yeah - WoW takes a considerable amount of time to play and get to "the end." But it's basically an on demand LAN party. That's the appeal of any MMO. If it only took 18 hours of gameplay to "complete," then you'd say it was boring and no one would play.
80s edition is pretty fun. I am stuck on the last song on expert though, which is REALLY a hard song. I had way less trouble with Free Bird on expert in GH2.
Bioshock looks cool. I played the demo for a few minutes last night on a pretty decent PC (but no DX10), but I tried to load the demo here today on a PC in the office that is a monster and it locks up right when it launches.
The PC is a quad core Vista box with an 8800GT card with 768MB ram.
I really wanted to see some of those DX10 effects in action :(
