I don't know what's causing this behavior but Internet.com bar appears first and after 3-4 seconds the entire page gets loaded - and again, it's very consistent.
It's quite annoying, btw. :)

Yes, its the internet.com toolbar and I have notified Brad about it a few days ago. I would assume that when they work on fixing the display issue with it that they can also see why it slows down or actually stops the page loading for those few seconds.
I noticed that since devx and cg have been fixed so the display is correct that their page load delays are only about 2 seconds. So hopefully we will get an improvement of 1 whole second with the display fix :D
Thanks Rob - it's good to know that isn't just me.
But why todelay at all? Imagine Google or say Yahoo have you wait for few extra seconds? Am I missing something?

The site is back to its previous lightening speeds! :thumb:
Great job Joe!
I just noticed that myself! Great!
Well thanks, but I didn't do a thing:)
So how did it get "corrected" itself? I wish there was a black magic. :)
I really don't know. In fact the list of things I don't know seems to be growing each day.
It was so slow on my end that I spent most of the day getting timed out and it never did load the page. I thought it was something going on on my end.
Interesting... I should've mentioned "3-4 seconds delays on T1 connection" then.
You never miss an opportunity to mention that, do you? :DQuote:

But seriously, most of the corps arround here are on T1 so it's no biggy in my neighborhood.
It also depends how many people are sharing that T1 connection - you may have a cable or dsl that's faster some times.
