Re: At the end of a project
I don't think I've ever finished any of my own hobby projects.
The times I do finish a project, it's because either I'm working with someone else, I'm doing it for someone else, or I've shown it to someone else and they've come up with ideas for it. (Or, ideally, finished it for me—but that never happens!)
So, show it to someone else, and ask them for ideas, and maybe you'll get the inspiration and motivation you need to finish it.
Re: At the end of a project
The only programming project I've ever done for me is my Code Library. Everything has been work related with associated deadlines.
My Library needs some serious upgrading, and it is one of those things that I keep telling myself I'll get around to one of these days. I've been telling myself that for about 5 years.
Re: At the end of a project
This is a classic case of hobbie lag! ha ha. But seriously i get it all the time on hobby projects! Its the same with guys making games as a hobbie! i used to have RPG maker 2000 and i swear i never seen anyone with a finished game only constant demos!
Re: At the end of a project
Good to hear everyone else has had the same feelings for hobby projects, but I was actually talking about projects for work! :)
I don't really have a deadline for these projects. Maybe that's the problem.
