is is possible to stop VPN throgh code

am newbie in networking. is there anyway through script or some VB code, i can stop VPN.

if suppose i install the VPN client in a system. there will be a VPN service running in that computer is int it?. i want to know the code to stop that particular service in a click of action.

There is a lot VPN client so I cannot answer you specifically, but yes you could programmatically stop a service.
