I can re-open the thread if you explain to me exactly what the poll is all about.
I agree that the poll was not appropriate. I've removed the poll and re-opened the thread. If it cross the line of "appropriateness", it will be closed again.

I agree that the topic of the diversity of candidates for the US election is interesting. Unfortunately, that isnt' the thread that was created. Additionally, when talking about diversity, issues often come up that are contentious.
