[RESOLVED] Changing Motherboard w/o Re-installing MS Windows XP Pro

I changed my motherboard from a Shuttle motherboard to an ASUS P4P800-E.
Now I'm experiencing problem, everytime I boot normally to MS Windows XP Pro it always rebooting but not in Safe Mode.

I don't want to re-install everything.

Can you login to safe mode(F8) and you can follow the last working configurations. But I'm not sure that you can solve the problems. Because when the h/w component changed it need to be write it to the registry. I think you can't solve your issue without re-install WinXP, unless you can't get to the last working configurations. Try it....

I failed and gave-up.
It always go BSOD everytime I boot it normally.

I re-install everything.

Next time do a repair before reinstalling everything.

I already tried tepairing it.
Even un-installing & installing the drivers while in safe-mode is useless.

It still BSOD.
I can't read the message because it automatically reboots.

Try this if you can.

Put your HDD on another PC and format only the system drive of your HDD(that is drive C on your HDD) with using quick/NTFS. Then go to your PC and setup WinXP again.

No need to do it.
I'll just wait to get my new harddrive next week, another Seagate Baracuda 320GB SATA.
I'm going to use Linux as my main OS.

I want to, but I already re-installed everything.
I'm too lazy and busy to do it.
It takes me 2 days before I can fully setup everything; from MS Windows XP to MS Office 2007, MS Visual Studio 2005, MS SQL Server 2005, MySQL 5, PHP 5, J2EE, Netbeans, Eclipse, and some games.

I'll try it next month on my new system. ;)

You do that because you don't have a domain controller.

Try implementing one so that all installations will be handled by the domain controller.

What to do if he hasn't net connection. It is better to do such things manually.

I can't afford to get one.
It is for personnal use only. ;)

I'll make this machine a server (domain controller, file/multi-media server, WEB Server, etc.) once I get my new machine.
I expect to get it on the 3rd week of June.

For its cooling system, I'll try this one. :D

It is better to do things manually during the occassion that automation cannot support.

I agreed with you. But in my experience it is better to do such thing manually, and I love to do it. You know one thing, doing stuff manually I can learn lots of things.

Yup, you can learn a lot of things manually.

But doing things over and over again makes your task redundant and there are other persons who cannot stand redundancy and does not have time for redundancy.

Like in the case of our friend here, he does not have much time in his hands.

I also like to do things manually. But there are things that consume too much time and resources that I cannot afford to waste. That is why automation comes in handy.

Ya it's true. Time....Time.....

We can't spend much for anything. If you mange time well it's not a problem. One thing I have to say. Normally I used PCs for my stuff. Up to now both of them not down at the same time. If one is down at the same night I fixed it. Thats why I deal with this forum as much as possible.
