[RESOLVED] Can vb6 and vb.net coexist on the same PC
Hi everyone,
Please don't kick me. I am a terrible newbie.
I have been playing around with VB6 until I prepared a small project for a club. Now, I would like to install VB .Net.
Can I have both products installed on the same Windows 2000 Prof. PC? Will they conflict with each other?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have a problem.
I have both installed.
The only difference is I'm using XP

I can confirm: all VB versions can co-exist without any noticeable problems.
Re: Can vb6 and vb.net coexist on the same PC
I have been using VB 6.0, VS 2003 and VBE 2005, all on the same system/same partition without any issues so far.

Yes they can - only problem I had at one point was debuging both ASP and ASP.net webpages - but I think that was just because I installed them in the wrong order - and was easily solved.

I had the exact same setup except I have VS 2005, but finally removed VS2003. No point in having two versions of .NET studio but only using one.
As everyone has said, you should have no issues at all.
