Alternatives to Crystal Reports

Are there any other types of reporting tools like Crystal Reports that are less expensive? All I want to do is extract fields from, say, Access or Excel and be able to place them where I want on the screen. It doesn't matter if the output is on a web page, word doc, acrobat, etc.

If there's not a way to do this, then can someone recommend some less expensive alternatives to Crystal? Even if it is a little less.

In my current project, I use Excel itself as a reporting tool.

Also, I Googled "Report Writers" and got back a number of hits. You might want to check some of those out.

There is no less expensive alternate , as crystal report normally sale latest version. If u want to make good efficient and in less time then use crystal report othereise u can also use other tools like my firend explained above.
