how much do you earn per month?
This for a survey?
Or just curious about random information?
just curious what sort of money programmers/IT people get
Well, it apparently isn't working for you...
I work as a web developer. Not bad money, but around this area, it's barely enough to live on...
Oops, I should remove my vote, since I am not in the IT area at all. Funny that I was debating whether I was in the second highest category or not. By the way, since you are London, wouldn't you want it in pounds rather than dollars? Surely there are more categories. It sure seems like most IT people should be in the upper two categories....but maybe that's just a fantasy.
This in USD? I'll vote when I get my first pay cheque in 6 weeks :P
I'm retired but when I was working I made >$8000/mo. :)
Jesus... where did you work?
 What did you do?Quote:

Gas is a bad example.. it's not nearly as extreme per area as other things. Gas was $2.40 in Iowa earlier this year, and is currently about $2.60 in Massachusetts, while the average house is around $400k...
According to this site if I make $96,000 in san Jose I "only" need to make 72,500 in Boston, MA to maintain my same standard of living.
just around the 500$ mark.
For the IT sector in the Philippines, this would be lower than the average, and definitely lower for my experience, since I am working for a young company.
$0.00
My contract ended last week and was not renewed
Until then I was earning $50 per hour.
But, I pay more than $4,000 per month in mortgage payments and > $10,000 per year in property taxes!
Amount is really irrelevant:
- you are doing great if your weekly check can cover your monthly expenses
- you are doing good if you can cover your monthly expenses with two weeks check
- anything less than that is so-so...
- anything better than first two is just fantastic.
However, the more you get the more you will spend - it's never enough... :)
I earn #VALUE! per month
Here you go Martin. I live on the border of LA/OC.Quote:

So you are the reason why my dad won't buy me a boeing. :mad:Quote:
