Ok this is really a shot in the dark as I have limited knowledge on how the cable network and a modem works.
Your computer is connected to your network or in some cases directly to your cable modem(granted that you have cable internet and not DSL) that modem is then connected to the COAX network in your house. So really your modem is connected to your television through this COAX network although the bandwidth that the modem uses is not recognizable by your tv hence broadband.
Now my question is, is there any possible way even if very far fetched to output audio or video over thoes coax lines to your tv from your computer?
I know that there are many devices that you can buy like the Apple TV that go straight from your computer to your tv but what if it were possible to cut out this hardware device and have your computer do all the work through software. Does anyone know of a way that this could be done? Output data on the frequency that your TV can interperet?
