How not to embed Crystal Report in Vb 2005

I want to not embed my crystal reports that are created in the VB 2005 IDE. How would I do that?

Save and run from a separate folder than the app, such as C:\Reports\

The reason, is I think it is easier to update the reports without the need of recompiling the application.
