is it ok to install both vs2003 and vs2005 in the same machine?
Re: is it ok to install both vs2003 and vs2005 in the same machine?
Absolutely. Many members have several versions installed side-by-side. Just make sure to install into different folder locations. asically they are all different programs that are not aware of each other.
I have VS 6, VS.NET 2003, VS.NET 2005 on my XP system and VS 6 and VS.NET 2005 on my Vista system. Just installed 2005 but not a problem as many other members can validate.

Me too! Although I'm seriously thinking of tossing VS 2003.

Haven't installed Vista yet, but that is only because I haven't gotten around to it.
As Rob mentioned, just be sure they are in different folders and you will be fine.

I already did ... :p Personally I think that was the worst VS ever ...
Anyway, we made a decision to convert anything developed in .Net to 2005 so we did.

Yes, I didnt install 2003 on my Vista system as I think everything should now be written in 2005 only. Especially since Orcas has just come out with the CTP version.

Ok, you two talked me into it. I'm going to get off my lazy duff and toss 2003 and install Vista whilst I'm at it! :D
