Get Reputation by marking threads as resolved

If you want people to mark threads as resolved then reward them for it with reputation or something.

How about no, since that's NOT what the reputation system is for.

How about a button that only the thread starter can click on which marks the thread as resolved?

EDIT: Last time I checked the FAQ the only way you could mark it as resolved was be adjusting the title :ehh:

Marking threads Resolved is a plausible recommendation and not a compulsion, though it should be.

When so many people help others or questioners, doesn't it make the OPs responsibilty to mark them resolved. It will eventually help those who make a habit of searching before posting a query.

Forums are not meant for getting Reps, but for sharing the knowledge.

Please don't put someone down for what he felt was a reasonable suggestion.
