Re: execute under admin ?
You can run a program under a person's account while being in a different account. Just right click the program and select "Run As..." then select the account and password and your set.
Edit: Forgot to say it only works for XP and 2000
Edit version 2.0: To enable it if it isn't http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294676
Re: execute under admin ?
hmm alright that's another senario but...will that work for network accounts? and that may get a bit annoying as we have about 300 computers
Re: execute under admin ?
I'm really not sure if this will work for network accounts... I've never used the "Run As..." feature before as I just have one account here, so I really don't know any more about it.
Re: execute under admin ?
IT works with network accounts, so that's one option at least :)
Re: execute under admin ?
good hmm so that's one of the options so if anyone has any other suggestions please post em and we'll discuss them
Re: execute under admin ?
Where do you plan to install your program? Will it be installed on the network for everybody or installed locally?
If you're having trouble with rights/restrictions, you can set the permission of your program's folder to Full Control. That is, if you installed it locally.
