Text Messaging

Does anybody know of a free SMS service that (preferably) does not require a login, and (essential) does not place branding after the message?

you don;t have to log in, and you get very small branding.

alternatively use the icq service, which does require you have a free account but doesn't brand

I think I'll just have to put up with branding...I'm writing an app which will allow you to send SMS messages to 30-40 countries around the world, hence preferably no login or branding.

I've already decided to use lycos, amongst others.

hi I'm thinking of doing a program similar to what you have in mind. Are there any good pointers or links to source or DLLs that would help me understand sms messaging?

i hear that uboot.com offers free text messaging and also doesn't do that stamp thing.

Paylo: I don't really understand all the ins and outs of SMS myself. I'm using a dll called WebZinc to fill in forms on web pages.

The networks have got together to sort out proper charging for SMS messages, so the free ones are going :(

You have to have a login to get into uboot. Their SMS service isn't very good - whenever I send a msg I have problems 'cos people either don't get the msg or if they do then it's three days late! Also, at the end of the msg you always get the advert for uboot.com which is annoying, well I think so anyway!

I've found a couple of good ones, but WebZinc doesn't like check boxes at the mo'...
