Help creating a VBscpirt to work between IE and Excel

Hello !
I have to download reports from an intranet site which requires authentication. Most of the file name is the same except the ending which is based on the YYMMDD format. I need to auto download these files so i was thinking of a VBscipt which i can add to the windows task scheduler.
