character report for dot matrix

can i build charcter report with crystal report 8.5
for dot matrix printers.

How you are saving the data in the database, CR probably support the data that are in the database but using formulas some changes are possible.
Can you provide me some example?
Also tell what data are saved in the table?

yes data saved in table...simple data like

empno ename sal
01 abc 100
02 ddd 200
