outlook vba editor doesnt open
not sure its the right place to ask this, but:
I cannot open visual basic editor from outlook- when I press ALT+F11 or go through the menu- nothing happens!
this happens only on outlook. Word and Excel are working normal and opening their vba editor.
I've uninstalled office and reinstall it, but it stays the same.
any ideas?
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
I couldnt find anything on this but did you try doing a Detect and Repair via the Help menu?
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
It works, but only if I choose to erase all my shortcuts and my personal settings. Meaning that somewhere in outlook there's an option to disable VBA editor (?!)
do you know any way to disable vba window in outlook?
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
Oh it may be a Security setting. If Macro security is set to High or Very High then I think it may not open. I cant test it as I have a signature attached to my VBA project.
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
Ok, but Security doesn't open as well (it's becoming interesting), and also Macro Commands (ALT+F8) doesn't work...
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
Hmm, what functions do work? When did this start happening? After installing anything?
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
I have the exact same problem my outlook kept crashing so I un-installed all software addins: blackberry, linkedin, spamsource, callpilot, and office client. I re-booted and could not open anything on the outlook tools->macro menu. I then ran office 2003 with the re-install option which did not fix the problem. My menu macro shortcuts also do not work.
Re: outlook vba editor doesnt open
My problem was:
Addin: microsoft vba for outlook addin (outlvba.dll) was disabled
Selected it and clicked enable and everything worked without restarting outlook or the pc.
For 2003 check in Help | About Microsoft Outlook | Disabled Items
For 2007 check in Tools | Trust Center | Add-ins | Disabled Items
