Nice question

All of the ways to launch a prog on startup:

in the window's startup folder

REG KEYS:
Current user/Runonce
current user/run
local machine/run
local machine/run once
local machine/run services
local machine/run servicesonce

in a file:
win.ini/load
win.ini/run

Dunno if this will help.. Hehehe
the best way is to just create an icon in the start up folder.

i *THINK* putting it in a reg file under one of the RUNS would be good
like current user/run (to only run on that log in name)
or local machine/run to run it when ever the computer is turned on..

I am pretty sure this is how it goes, but i may be alittle wrong
