Its just a matter of not performing a few HTTP GET requests, and all the adverts vanish as if they had never been there at all. You can't punish people for getting value for money.

NoScript is not specifically an adblocker: I do see advertisements and I can't choose to disable a certain ad. I just don't see the ones that require JavaScript to display in the first place. If an advertiser decides to make an advertisement dependant of JavaScript, it is their own fault. It is not a fault of an user to have JavaScript disabled. Props to Hewlett-Packard: atleast their ad works even without JavaScript.
VBF could require advertisers to ensure their ad works without JS. Or you could change things so that the script files are on VBF server, in which case you'd skip the "feature" of NoScript for individual domain disabling; although that would be just a workaround.
The only grief I get of this is the increased delay until I can play Civilization IV :) I don't see how I could have done something wrong, for the above reasons.Quote:
