I am developing VB6/CR7 applications for govt department
and need tp deploy on variety of machines (includes 95/98/2000pro/
XP-Home/XP-Pro etc).. If I create the package using PDW on 2000 machine..
it works fine on XP but .. it creates problem on 9x machine ...which
installer should I use ...?...
I personally recommend INNO setup, its free, and you can find lots of examples in using it around the web, because it has a pretty big user base. I have used it to deploy apps from 98-2003.Quote:

There are others, but most cost a good amount of money, like InstallShield.
I believe NullSoft may still offer a free installer app, but I know they were bought by AOL, and I am not sure of the current state of that software.
