closing all open windows

hi i'm making a registry scanner ( it will scan for invalid registry files hopefully) well i though i'd start off with the basics first and i would like it to give the use the option to close all open windows so it doesent interfear with the scan how can i do this? i look at the following thread

and it didnt help i could not get the code correct i dont completly understand rory's example in post 9 could some one maybe explain it ? thanks for the help :wave:

You should just tell the user to do that for if you do it and there is something that should't be closed... You will get the blame if something bad happens.

ya true. i'm not closing background processes jsut any windows that are open and active but i still see your point if this was an app to be sold but its to help develope my skills as a programmer so its kinda for fun i was just wondering if it could be done to include in the program if not i wont put it in
