I feel in quite a good mood now so here it is:
sin x = 1/2
sin x cos(90°-x)
Hopefully you know that cos(90°-x) is sin x .....but if not:
Imagine a sin x graph and a cos x graph. Now shift the cos graph 90° forward, and you will see a sin x graph.
So cos(90°-x) = sin x
Therefore your question is:
sin x * sin x
= 1/2 * 1/2
= 1/4
