Can i acess my school network?

i am wondering if i could make a program that
can acess my school server?

my scholl have a server call "student server" in the network neighbourhood, and i was wondering how to acess the server to take my file from my home's computer.

i already have my username and password to access the server but i just don't know how to connect to school's server or network from my home's pc. Are they anyway to access from my house to the school network? If they are, please told me how to do it,please show me the code.

You should be connected to the network. Otherwise, I think, that's impossible.

Tip: Get a homepage that can be accessed with FTP and it can be used to store files (there's some that will cancel the account if it is used only for storing files). From school, send the files you need at home to there with a FTP program. At home it's easy to download, without FTP program.
