The VBForums site allows for a number of different ratings. You can rate a thread by selecting a number of stars, or you can rate a single post by selecting the scale icon above the post . How can i select numbers of stars? i read the FAQ. thanks for help

click on rate thread to assign stars.
people probably appreciate rating posts more though, as rating a thread does not add to an individuals reputation.

It depends on the person who rates you - see the FAQ for the description of "Power" ratings (it depends on a few things, like how many points they have, how long they have been a member, etc).
There are some people who have a power of 7, so if they rate one of your posts then you will get 7 reputation points.
Yes, PG started the Rep FAQ and I was just featured as at that time I had the most Reps, although I did spend allot of time helping PG :D. The VBF FAQ is only a partial faq as the link PG posted is the complete detailed rep faq.Quote:
