my application automaticly sets its self on focus..?

hi,

I have an application which I have designed, it basicly plays a number of audio files. (playing the next file after the previous has ended) - automaticly.

However..

when I leave the application to play each file... it for some reason (which i dont understand), sets its self to focus. I know that coz, if i am using another application while my applicaion is in the background, then when my applicaiton is moving onto a new file to play it suddenly shows up from the bakground (& its window sets on focus).

I think its due to some sort of autoamic updating or something..

anyone have any ideas on what I can do? can I manually force it not to set the app window to focus at such stages?

Run it minimized and see what happens

thanks, but i have tried this.

what it does then, is that is does not show up...

but the application windows that I am using suddenly loses focus (when my minimised application goes on to play another file -nothing is visible.. coz its minimised) but it casues any other application windows to lose focus.

any ideas?

Try running your app from the systray :confused: (that little collection of icons next to the clock on your start bar). There are two pages on this site to help you.

:( The first one is a big code slice, you'll have to figure out how it works on your own.

:D The other one is more like a tutorial. It gives you a little more than just the code.

I ended up using a combo of both. I was very happy with the results.
