I'm trying to install an old trial version of visual studio.net, but it WONT install! I click to try and install the prerequisites, but everyone of them fail. I thought about just bypassing the pre's and skipping to VS, but that also failed. After all that, I tried installing the .NET framework.... that also failed.
What on earth am I doing wrong?
Not insulting you or anything here, so please don't be offended, but are you sure you're logged in as an admin ?
And could you tell us more about what happens when it "fails". Like error messages? screenshots if any... you know what i mean :)

Sure.. I attached some screenshots, but I there's not much I say about what I'm doing other than I'm clicking the installer and this happens!

you might try removing the windows installer from add/remove programs. and reinstalling it. do you have/or had any other versions of visual studio or the .net framework installed?
Well, the good news is I got it installed, finally.
The bad news is I just crapped out my system by following the directions I found on google :D
I do appreciate the help, though. I'll post a new thread with my new problem ;)
