Sorry to trouble you, but i need help with find the co-oridnates that are on a straight line ( Without seeing the graph) All that i know is the equation(s). i.e. y=6x-4. I need this help for my KS3 sat which i am taking in 2 weeks.Thanks in Advance

y=6x-4
to find y you substitute 0 into x so it's
y=(6*0)-4
so y= -4
for X you form the equation 6x=4 by taking -4 to one side
y in this case will equal 0
so if you solve it
6x=4 (divide both sides by 6)
x=4/6
x=2/3
i hope that has helped
I don't think I understand your question. On a straight line there are infinite points... which one of them do you need? What you can do given the equation is finding the y coordinate corresponding to a specific value of x or vice-versa.Quote:
