Visual Basic encountered a problem and needs to close down
After minor editing on code and attempt to do a "make.exe" in VB6 I get a message "Visual Basic encountered a problem and needs to close".
If I compile the same code on another PC no error occurs.
This problem has appeared twice on the same PC with two different projects.
Can someone please help?
Thanx

Welcome to Forums, andredup!
I would try to uninstall and then reinstal VB if you say it works fine on another machine.

Hi RhinoBull, Thanks for your advice, however I have tried it in the past and did it again after your reply still without success.
When I remove some of the forms it does in fact compile successfully on the problem PC while no problem is experienced on other PC's. Might just mention that the error occurs when the compile process shows; "writing exe".
Does it make any sence?
Thanks again

It might just be a permissions problem. Is VB being installed by an adminisrator account?

Hmmm ... Strange ... Do you have all service packs (for VB, not Windows) installed? If not then do that.
