Source Code Control VSS/SVN
I have VS2005 Team Developer which comes with VSS2005.
However, most of my other projects use SVN (and the ToroiseSVN interface).
The main benefit of SVN was that it is free which made it easy to share with other developers.
If I used VSS everybody else has to shell out for a licence.
Do you have any preferences?
Re: Source Code Control VSS/SVN
I've not experienced it yet but I believe that VSS 2005 is pretty swish. I've used VSS 6 in a team setting and as a single developer and never had any issues, although I have heard that VSS 6 was a bit hard to deal with in certain situations. Hopefully they've fixed those issues in the new version. I don't think it's cheap though, so it may be an issue for other developers, but if you aren't part of a team then I don't see that that's an issue.
