You can't click string because they don't have a click event :rolleyes:. But you could put the string into a label or something. And when you say, "add code to minimize the explorer window it creates." Do you mean, you are referencing it? As like:
Dim ie As New InternetExplorer
ie...
?:confused:?
Do you mean you have the URL in a label? since strings can't be clicked on, they are a datatype.
if you use a label, say label1 you can use shellexecute api to open the explorer window minimized:
Code:Private Declare Function ShellExecute Lib "shell32.dll" Alias "ShellExecuteA" (ByVal hwnd As Long, ByVal lpOperation As String, ByVal lpFile As String, ByVal lpParameters As String, ByVal lpDirectory As String, ByVal nShowCmd As Long) As Long
Public Const SW_SHOWMINIMIZED = 2
Private Sub Label1_Click()
ShellExecute 0, "open", label1.caption, "", App.Path, SW_SHOWMINIMIZED
End sub
