Ok guy first time on this forum as i only joined to ask this question i made up and its bugging me that i can't figure it out. So i decided "i'll go ask the very guys who know maths like i know what eggs are"

say we start the goldfish's journey in Shetland, he starts here at 5am on saturday morning ... he travels at an amazing speed of 2 mph for 524 miles on his journey to you in england.... what time and date will he get there?
PS. Its not all technical blah blah... totally made up from the top o me head so sorry about the distances being pathetically wrong. Just something for you to figure out :D

I'm not sure how your boyfriend got it down to the minute. It is exactly Wednesday morning, 3a.m.
524 miles at 2 miles per hour takes 524 / 2 = 262 hours. This is an integer number of hours, so there will be no minutes involved unless you want to get pernickety and take 1 day not as exactly 24 hrs but start faffing about with the seconds. Then you need to decide on the time of year... However, if that's what you want then you'd definitely need to specify it, as most people will make the assumption that a day is 24 hours.

Yeh i'm talking about just the 24 hour thing. I don't know how he got into minutes as don't know how he even worked it out. But hey, thanks millions because it was bugging me! As i was trying too hard to figure it out... not done any maths for 3 years now and kinda lost touch with it completely.
