This looks really nice, but I'm always skeptical about third party applications. Ecspecially when it involves me authenticating through it. Has anyone else used this before? Had any problems? Any security threats?

Another GREAT tool. It generates .Net code for you with WMI (even has options to make it async).

The second one I have, works great... Really nice, no issues at all. You can even compile and run the code from the program (noneed to copy paste and leave random WindowsApplication#'s all over the place).

Yes the WMI download wasn't working, but I just tried again and it's back up :)
There is also a VB6 version called Scriptomatic v2.0
Also, in the 101 .NET Tutorials for 2003 there is a demo project on WMI and its classes and async calls too. :)

I was there! :D But Scriptomatic doesnt enumerate the values so it wouldnt solve that issue you had.
Well the DLL library I created :D does enumerate the values, but some of the values haven't been updated in a while, several come up with "Invalid Enum Value", meaning I have to go in and modify all the classes to update the Enum Values... if I ever feel like it (which I probably wont)...
Well, probably the .NET version does that now.
I'll have to try the WMI Code Creator v1.0 and see how it works. Should be very helpful in getting all that system and hardware info. Just found the class the other day that gets your mobo serial number. :thumb:
