visual studio installer help

i have develoepd a vb6 application and i am using crystal report. i need to create an installer n i have tried everything but cannot create the successfully installs it on a client machine. I have read the .chm files too but since i have no experience in this area, i am unable to create one. Can anybody help me create an installer or give me an installer of their own..for example..one that they have used with crystal reports..so that i can see what is going on. I would highly appreciate any help.

what version of crystal reports did you develop with? that matters a lot as far as distrubuting the application
