Hey, i'm new to the forum and i just got Visual Studio.NET 2005 and SQL 2005 and i was woundering if anyone could help me getting started with it Thanx

If you guys could like if you could help me get started with visual basic
see i have an idea for a program. hack trapper
basicly it listen to ports that hackers use and blocks any attackes
so i wanted to learn visual basic like that i could do that

VBForums.com is a great resource for getting help with your .Net questions. We are willing to help with any specific questions you have, but we are not going to teach you VB.Net and guide you through the entire process of writting an application.

None of us get paid to answer questions here so I don't think anyone would have enough time to do what you're asking. Plus, you won't learn much of anything that way.

Your best bet is to buy a book, read and create some small applications. The application you want to make requires usage of sockets and is a bit more complicated for someone new to VB.

Read a book, learn the language, then try to write your application. We'll be here if you have any specific questions.

Follow some of the tutorial links in my signature, then post back when you've got a better idea of what it is you want to know.
