Difference of Computer Engr. and other related, non-Engg courses.
Guys, I need to know (in your country) what is the difference of Computer Engineering from other IT related courses?

In my Country most Computer Engineers end up selling hardware ;)

Anything. Job description, field of expertise, etc.

IT related courses are usually quite 'specific', they may be related to specific areas of programming, for example. In an IT course you may end up with a good understanding of software engineering.
With computer engineering, you get an overview of many things such as compilers, computer architecture, algorithms, and other areas that you wouldn't normally see in an IT course.
Both of these can get you a programming job, but only the computer engineering course can really help you with research or further studies in computer sciences.
