I often have this same problem. Try think of something that will make your life easier or something that you need.
I can't think of something specific, sry.
Well, since there are approximately 7 million VB developers in the world and let's say each developer has written around 30 applications each (this number is taken right out of the sky, I have no idea how many applications an average VB developer has done) that would be a total of 210,000,000 VB applications... Now if you also want to count in VBA solutions and VBScripts into this you should probably multiply this number with at least 5.
Now, how many applications can be developed before all applications have already been made? Yes I know, that is a stupid question, but if you think about it so is the question "What hasn't been done yet", if anyone can answer that question for you, it would have been made already :).

Back on track. It all depends on your skill level, and what kind of appliaction you can handle. I can tell you to make Doom 4, because that one hasn't been made yet, or Windows 2012. But then again, what have you done before, and what is your skill realy...

Write a calculator program, that hasn't been done before... at least not one written in VB6 that runs on Linux.
