Hey Guys,
I've got a new requirement for work that means an old app will require deployment in a blade server environment ?
The App uses an MSDE Database and INI files, any advice or resources on what I need to do to make this blade-aware ??? Ca'nt see mto locate much on this ??

Is that a brand name? Protocol? I've never heard of it.
The new in-vogue Clustering type architecture where multiple servers (blades) are configured and accessed in tandem with a virtual storage device array (SCSI interface serverf farm, SAN etc).... I'm hoping the issues are the same as if I'm deploying to clustered environment whereby redundancy & failovers etc become the issue....

I found some things. One of the things I did not find, however, was any mention of MSDE.

I'm familiar with Clustering and the issues involved in being cluster-aware (state, redundancy etc) but can't find anything on the way Blades operate (admin /a management tools to install/replicate the app etc... I'm concerned about MSDE / Express especially as the clustering side of things is complex enough with SQL2000 and MSDE is the SQL7 engine without any bells or whistles..
