Inside DirectX
if it's so good, then why don't you know Dx???
You told me you only knew the blitting function....
j/k :D
thanks a lot...
More suggestions are welcome.
I remember you saying that you had Game Programming Starter kit (Version 3), correct? Well if you take a look at Version 4, there is a book shipped with it called "DirectX In 24 hours" or "DirectX in 21 Days." (I forget what it was called). I'm not sure how good it is, but it's something you might want to look into.
Dx in 24hrs sucks.....
it just tells you Dx... it doesn't even tell you where to put any of the code....
the book I just got,
"Computer Game Programming in DirectX"
is great,
it comes with an awesome game called "Ned's turkey farm"
there are 14 demo's, and it works up from displying a bitmap, to the completed game.... :)
Looks like yet another book to add to my wish list...who comes up with stuff like Ned's Turkey Farm??? :)
It's a really cool game,
you are in a plane and you shoot birds, :D
I know DX, but not in VB...
I thought you told me you knew it for VB, but not for C++???
Fox, you know DX, but not for VB? Can you tell me how to get DMA, and maybe point me to an example? I need to get a pointer to the backbuffer data... (in c++) ... no one has info on how to do it.
Did I right-understand that, you want to directly access a buffer in DDraw, ie. to manipulate the pixels? Just that I don't waste my time ;)
::Nods:: Correct. =)
Ok, I sent you a mail then :)
