Client Chat Applications Not Working

I can't log into my accounts on AIM using Trillian or AIM but I can sign on through the AIM on the AIM site. Why is this?

if you have a software firewall make sure that it allows aim and trillion are allowed to access the internet

I fixed it. I had to change the port. The default one just stopped working all of a sudden.

lol Right after I posted that I thought about changing the port and it happened to work. Didn't think it was going to but it did.
