Ok people, need your help here. [serious]
*Warning* This post may contain lniks to webpages some people may find offensive and/or abusive in some way.
Ok, as you may or may not be aware there are certain websites out there that do break laws, and do harm other living things.
I've recently come across a site that does exactly that, it breaks the law on account of animal cruelty as far as i can see, and today, i ask you people to help get this awful website shut down.
http://www.bonsaikitten.com was setup sometime in the year 2000 by all accounts and still to this day remains on the web in some form or another, it was beforehand a different website (and has re-surfaced before under www.bonsaikitten.chaos.org)
It is dedicated to the supposed "ART" of modifying a skeletal structure of the household pet.
I beg you to try and do whatever you can to try and get this website shut down, whetehr ti be find details on who owns it, reporting it to local authorities, anything. Just looking at the Gallery on their site you can tell that this person is extremely sadistic.
I'm calling on my friends (and enemies) here at VBF to try and help stop this animal cruelty.
Everyone can help in some way or another. So please, find it in your hearts to do so.
A quick WHOIS scan brings up the following information. If anyone could expand on this i would be very pleased.

Ok, maybe that disproves most of what i had to say, but still. There is a law against cruelty to animals.
And quite clearly animals are being abused here are they not ?
Maybe the sites a joke, but, the pictures surely cannot be fake ?
Re: Ok people, need your help here. [serious]
How much do they cost?
:afrog:

Bill, your links article looks old but makes some good points.
Shouldnt there be something that could prevent this kind of idea?
Poor wossname and remix...
Re: Ok people, need your help here. [serious]
Just noticed that there is a phone number on the site - 212-xxx-xxxx. So it looks like a New York based prefix number. If there is a phone number to contact them with then maybe they are selling something? Maybe they just dont have e-commerce and take orders over the phone?
Re: Ok people, need your help here. [serious]
The pictures ARE there, but you have no proof that the cat stays there for any long period of time, and you have no idea what is in the syringe (however that is spelled). Like the other link says, cats are very flexible and can easily take being in the jar for a minute or two while the idiot takes the pictures.

this site has been around for ages. It is not serious. It is a joke

The email on Snopes asks for emails with 500 addresses so they know they have 500 emails to spam, I've seen something like that before.
