Death Cannot happen.
If you die. Your relieved of your physicalness.
You'll just live life again without knowing who you were last life
So you believe in reincarnation?
iPrank, google is not my best friend. :(
Wouldn't be hell without it ;)Quote:

.NET IS the only hell.
Hell is a myth. There is in fact 9 levels of hell with the worst being at the lower levels.
Level 1 is mildly warm with nothing but midgets with pitch-forks
Level 2 is crowded with replicas of Jordan singing
Level 3 is crowded with randy blokes, but no women
Level 4 is crowded with randy women that look like Bodwads rear
Level 5 is Microsoft
Level 6 is VB.Net
Level 7 is VB
Level 8 is Assembly code
Level 9 is Machine code
Do you now expect a dead person to reply?Quote:

Sorry to bring this discussion back on topic, but it's not exactly CC... close, but not exact.
But why is there death at all? We can create life but we have no control over death.
Yeah we do.. don't get hit by anything.
to rob,
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord." - New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures
Without the threat of death there's no reason to live at all - Marilyn Manson
:thumb:
So then why dont we have at least one human that is everlasting?
Is any form everlasting? Everything and anything goes through a cycle. There is no material, organism or any form of matter that is everlasting in one state (that I know of).
See, so post #19...
Why dont we live forever then?Quote:

*leaves before this becomes another religious fiasco*
No religious fiaso's here.
I just want to know why we have to die and whats its meaning or purpose?
It means that we are expired. Our body's have lost their ability to ward off viruses and bacteria that has been continually eating away at us each day.
As much as we convince ourselves otherwise; we are not this supreme being we have made ourselves out to be. We're just a large chemical composition that has foudn a a way to document evolution outside of relying on instincts and DNA.
We're monkeys with pens.
That is a figurative reference, not to be taken literally. It's just referring to the afterlife where you're supposed to live with Jesus forever in his Kingdom, that kinda stuff.Quote:

You have to understand that these books were written at a time when religion was science itself, and the scientific process had not yet come into existence. The word of religion was the word of the universe itself and the general populace was incapable of questioning it. As a result, they can be interpreted (and misinterpreted too, look at the Middle East) in different ways.
But it is the desire to know what happens when we don't know what happens which is what gives a spiritual or religious ideology a large portion of its power... they provide us with a comforting answer, an answer which appeals to our ego and that makes us feel like we are the center of some divine agenda... when in fact our existence can be attributed to the mere process of bacterial evolution. We're just some byproducts.
I forgot to add my point. My point is, the meaning of death is irrelevant. You can choose whatever comforts you, but at the end when you take your last breath, it won't matter one bit. You're going to be buried and maggots will eat your eyeballs.
I'm an organ doner. I've trained myself to infest and invade. I will be back.
Not if you get creamated.
If your an organ doner then you will live on forever, just in parts. :)
The meaning of death:
Noun: death
- The event of dying or departure from life
- The permanent end of all life functions in an organism or part of an organism
- The end of life; continuing until dead
- The absence of life or state of being dead
- The time when something ends
- The act of killing
- A final state
Ah, but that is all relevant to the act of death. What about the meaning of it? We dont know if its a final state or if there is life after death. Why do we have to die? Why is there death?
Because everything that has a beginning has and end. And yes, I believe it's the final state.Quote:

Infinity is a just a concept. Who told you the univers doesn't have an end? Didn't you hear about the Big Bang and the Big Crunch? Are you also aware of the multiverse theory?Quote:

I guess you are talking about the universe. Space doesn't have a limit. It is a concept. Matter expansion in the space has a limit. But both space an time have inferior limits: they come in quanta; they are not continous, but discrete.Quote:
