MS Access Installation Problem

Hi!!!

We have a machine with a problem on MS Access 2000 - 2003. It cannot open MS Access database. The IDE will open but the Opening of database (taskpane does not function). All other MS Office applications will run accordingly. We tried installing several versions of MS Office however this machine MS Access does not work perfectly...

Our option is to format the hard disk. And re-install the Operating systems/OS.this machine is dual boot windows XP and windows 98.The previous programmer used to install several games on this machine..Does this affect other registry files?

Any idea on this?

Have you tried a "Detect and Repair" or an Office update?

One of the staff tried detect and repair..It does not work..For office update, how do we do that? Are there service pack available for office 2X? I already have an sp for Microsoft jet 8.0..I installed them on our machines..
