Deletre user accounts in XP
Hi folks,
I happily created a few user accounts 2 years ago in a WinXP computer. I now want to switch back to a single account but I'm not sure what's going to happen to the users' files if I just "delete the account" from the control pannel. What files must I set aside? For instance, what about files in a user's desktop or in the "My Documents" folder?
Re: Deletre user accounts in XP
When you delete the account, you are given the option to save the user's files on the computer.

Thanks, but just to be on the safe side I'd like to make a copy of them. Is it enough to save the contents of "...\Documents and Settings\UserName"?

If you really want to be sure, I would save the contents of the above folder, and then do a disk wide search on the user account name to see if it pops up anywhere else.

Yeah, this seems to be a sound advice. ;)
