Hi Dimava,
I am not sure how to convert a Power Point slide show to AVI directly. But i have a stupid idea, i have a program which is similar to Screen Grabbers but this one lets you record motion such as animation or the mouse movement, and output it to a AVI files.
So all you have to do is run your powerpoint slideshow and hit the caputure button on the app and it will capture everything on the screen to AVI file.
You can download it from here.

Hope this helps.
BTW : why do you wanna convert ppt to avi?
Hi,
I have made some avi files from power point slides, but what
i used was Macromedia Director once and in another ocassion
i used Corel Photo Paint
Hope this helps
Saludos...;)
how did you use photo paint?
Avi files? Is that all you can make with the Power Point slides?
I am taking a class, hopefully getting at least a B since I do everything I'm suppose to. But I couldn't figure out what you used the slides for. I mean, you make something in the program. And all we do is make the slides (10,20 slides long) and show it to the class. But you don't just make slides to show them just in Power Point. I guess I found my answer, avi files. What else can they be made into?
Thanks for the tip and any information.
i decided to put export it as gif files, then put it into a flash moive, then export it as a avi :)
1) First you have to convert all your slides to images like
.bmp .jpg .gif (the better the resolution the better avi)
just take in cosideration the size of the final avi
2) In PhotoPaint you must create an document of the size of
your avi screen (desired)
3)After that just select Movie in the menu
4)then select Create from Document
5)Then insert the images that you want one after another.
Saludos...;)
Want more?... Let me Know

p.s.
6)Change the Frame Rate... in then Movie menu also...;)
Matthew: I don't understand what you mean. Powerpoint is for making slideshows. I'm sure you can make AVI movies if you want, but usually people just make a slideshow and then set it so that it runs through the slides in order with a time delay until they tell it to stop. Or they set it to change slides on a mouseclick. What more do you expect from it?
