Computer Errors

a while ago i accidently ran something called run.exe

this caused a few problems on my computer
1) norton auto-protect wont enable
2) Email Scanning says Error
3) Automatic Live Update wont turn on
4) Things that ran perfectly before freeze now
5) General PC slowdown
6) Photoshop opens and causes an error

i ran hijack this and got rid of the 2 run.exe's that were there but the problem still exists

i also get this error wen tryin to install the cd for my mp3 player

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows appllications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application

my friend (Remix) says its from a virus

does anyone know how i can fix this quickly and efficiently?

Those are to viruses that use the RUN.exe file. You should start in safe mode with networking, and go to www.trendmicro.com and run their online virus checker. Safe mode will allow most viruses to be cleaned. It wouldn't hurt to run all three test. You have to use IE on their site.
